Red Tradition 2016, AOC Ventoux
As a result of a gift, the College is delighted to be able to offer for sale to alumni and friends wines made by one of our members, Graham Shore (PPE, 1974-1977).
Graham owns Domaine Vintur, a small vineyard in the Rhône Valley, Appellation Ventoux, which makes award-winning red and white wines. Some years ago he ran an event for the College in which alumni and friends helped choose the blend for the 2013 red vintage. He has now offered the College the opportunity to sell some of this wine to our network with the profits going to our Development Fund.
The wine is a blend of Grenache noir, Syrah, Mourvèdre. and Carignan from old vines and has matured in bottle to be perfect for drinking over the next year or so. It has a touch of oak and the fruit is rich and aromatic. It comes in a bottle with a special St Peter’s College label.
Sweet succulent aromas of white pepper, plums and wild cherries. Palate of plums and cherries. A deep, concentrated structure of freshness, spices and white pepper which lingers on the palate.
