Cuvée Séléné 2014, Luna Edition
AOC Ventoux
LIMITED EDITION
Recommended by Decanter Magazine
We only produce this white cuvée in special vintages as a limited edition.
2014 was an exceptional year for our grenache blanc, perhaps a reaction to a difficult 2013 which was affected by coulure. We aged this wine for two years in oak and the result is a unique, refined and delicate wine. As it differs from other cuvée Sélénée vintages, we have given it a special name Edition Luna.
The cuvée Séléné normally has the potential to age for at least a further 6 years whilst developing more nuances as it matures - this wine may take longer to reach maturity. It shows notes of yuzu, mango, apricot and passion fruit. These meld into a long finish hinting of praline.
The deep complex fruit driven palate develops fresh mineral notes and goes on.
Full of sunshine, this wine is for savouring with seafood, white meats and all manner of cheeses. It will leave your mouth refreshed, stimulated and excited for your next degustation!

Note from Decanter Magazine - Issue December 2018
Score: 94
Grown on clay-limestone soils at 130m, and aged for two years in second-use barrels. The oak is fully integrated into the quince fruit, lending vanilla fudge and nougat notes.
A gastronomic style, showing body, texture and energy in a wine that demonstrates the age worthiness of top-quality white from Ventoux.
